We are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and controlling health and safety compliance across the organisation, advising executive management on relevant laws, and developing health and safety policies. This role also involves coordinating insurance claims and building strong relationships with insurers and brokers.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the organisation's health and safety compliance, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws and regulations
• Advise executive management on critical health and safety legislation and develop organisation-wide policies and procedures
• Conduct thorough health and safety audits, inspections, and accident investigations, reporting findings and preventive measures to the board
• Maintain comprehensive records of health and safety events, employee training, and regulatory audits
• Facilitate insurance claims from inception to resolution, liaising directly with insurers, brokers, and internal teams to ensure accurate processing
• Ensure compliance with the insurance claims process and coordinate insurance renewals, reviewing policies and negotiating necessary amendments

Requirements:

• Relevant Degree
• 10+ Years of experience in Health and Safety management within the property or related industry
• Comprehensive knowledge of environmental and workplace health and safety laws, as well as short-term insurance processes
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage executive management and influence organisational policies
• Proven experience conducting health and safety audits, risk assessments, and implementing preventative strategies
